At Desert Doggie, we believe dogs thrive when given joyful, enriching experiences that feed their body and mind. Our boutique-style outings are designed to engage your dog through movement, exploration, and social time with a small group of friendly, well-socialized pups.
With a focus on enrichment, we provide a variety of sights, smells, and experiences, along with reinforcement of basic training using a gentle, compassionate approach. Whether it’s a walk beneath the palms, off-leash play at a local dog park, or a hike on a desert trail, every outing is safe, structured, and thoughtfully planned.
Founded and led by Ashley Diaz, a professional dog walker with over a decade of experience and formal education in animal behavior & training, we're committed to providing safe, informed, and compassionate care to every dog we meet.

Hi, I’m Ashley! Founder of Desert Doggie and your dog’s new adventure buddy. I’ve spent the last 12+ years turning my love of animals and the outdoors into a career, leading group hikes and dog walking adventures in both Washington and Colorado.
With certifications in Applied Animal Behavior & Canine Studies from the University of Washington and the Northwest School of Canine Studies, I bring a deep understanding of dogs to every adventure. I’m not just here for the cute pictures (though we take plenty). I’m here to create safe, structured, and joy-filled experiences for social pups who love to move, sniff, and explore.
After years of adventures in the mountains, I’m bringing the fun to Palm Desert, a place I've loved since I was a kid. With sunshine, palms, and wagging tails, I can’t wait to welcome your pup to the Desert Doggie crew!
